Talk about the December blues! Way too many of Hollywood's hottest couples seem to be celebrating the holidays by breaking up, divorcing, and otherwise calling it quits on their high-profile romances. Good thing there's one couple still walking in a winter wonderland: Tony Romo and news-anchor girlfriend Candice Crawford (sister to "Gossip Girl" star Chace Crawford) have announced their engagement.
Tony, the Dallas Cowboys quarterback who's best-known 'round these parts as Jessica Simpson's ex, popped the question on Candice's 24th birthday as the pair celebrated with her family. Of course, we all know how Tony loves to peg major relationship milestones to birthdays; he famously gave poor Jessica the boot as a "gift" for her 29th. (Aww, Tony! You shouldn't have!... No, really, you shouldn't have. That was not cool.)
This also makes Tony the second Simpson ex who found true love post-breakup, after ex-husband Nick Lachey announced his engagement earlier this year. Ohmigod y'all... does Jess have the magic ability to make men marriage-ready? It's a Christmas miracle!
